WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is trustworthy, authoritative, and the foundation for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness.

(2 Timothy 3:15–17; Hebrews 1:1–2)

There is one true God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God and works together in perfect unity in creation, redemption, and the fulfillment of God’s purposes.

(Genesis 1:1–2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

God the Father is the creator of all things and the source of life. He is loving, compassionate, faithful, and sovereign over all creation. Through His plan of redemption, He sent His Son so that humanity may be restored into relationship with Him.

(John 3:16; Psalm 103:13; Ephesians 1:3–5)

Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became man for our salvation. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and now reigns with the Father.

(John 1:14; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)

The Holy Spirit is God present with us today. He convicts the world of sin, guides believers into truth, empowers them for ministry, and equips the church with spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ.

(John 14:26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7)

Salvation is the gift of God received through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice on the cross, our sins are forgiven and we are restored into relationship with God. Salvation is by grace and cannot be earned through good works.

(Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; John 3:16)

Water baptism by immersion is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes the believer’s death to sin and new life in Christ.

(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4; Acts 2:38)

The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Believers partake of the bread and cup in gratitude and reflection until He returns.

(1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Luke 22:19–20)

The church is the body of Christ composed of all believers united by faith in Him. Through fellowship, worship, discipleship, and service, the church fulfills Christ’s mission in the world.

(Acts 2:42; Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Corinthians 12:27)

God equips the church through various ministry roles including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to build up the body of Christ and equip believers for the work of ministry.

(Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Corinthians 12:28)

Jesus Christ will return again visibly and in glory. His return calls believers to live faithfully and expectantly as they continue His mission on earth.

(Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)

“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

— 1 Corinthians 3:11

OUR HISTORY

Our Journey of Faith

1946 - Spiritual Roots

The roots of the church trace back to Roosevelt Memorial Church in Bagac Street, Tondo, Manila, founded in 1946 by Bishop Matias Cuadra.

Together with pioneering families such as the Songsong, Guerrero, Mendoza, and Apostol families, the early believers laid the spiritual foundation upon which the ministry would later grow.

1986 - A New Beginning

After Bishop Cuadra’s passing, the earlier work gradually declined. In 1986, a small group of elders restarted gatherings in the Guerrero family’s garage in Tondo, seeking to follow God’s leading with renewed passion for worship, prayer, and sound biblical teaching.

This humble beginning marked the rebirth of the ministry that would later become Fullness of Christ International Ministries.

1987 - Formation as GFCC

In 1987, the church formally organized as Gospel Faith Christian Church (GFCC).

Under the leadership of faithful pastors and Bro. Diwa Guinigundo as administrative pastor, the church emphasized living out the Word through compassion, charity, evangelism, and community outreach. Medical missions and outreach ministries were launched in Tondo, Valenzuela, and Quezon City.

Early 1990s — Growth and Prophetic Direction

During the early 1990s, the church experienced steady growth and increasing involvement in broader Christian movements. Bro. Diwa served in the Philippines for Jesus Movement and developed prophetic partnerships with ministries both locally and internationally.

In 1993, the church entered a new spiritual season and was renamed Fullness of Christ International Ministries (FOCIM), reflecting a deeper calling toward prophetic and apostolic ministry.

1999–2003 — Apostolic Equipping

From 1999 to 2003, a series of apostolic consultations and leadership seminars were conducted to equip the church for greater ministry impact.

These gatherings helped form an apostolic ministry team, strengthening the church’s leadership structure and preparing it for broader service in teaching, worship, intercession, and discipleship.

2003–2005 — Prophetic Vision for the Nation

In 2003, prophetic leaders Dr. Dexter and Dr. Lily Low spoke a word declaring that FOCIM would become a “lampstand to the nation.”

In 2005, the church partnered with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Christian Fellowship to launch the movement “Touching Heaven, Changing Earth,” a prophetic and apostolic initiative for national transformation. This led to more than 50 conferences across the Philippines and in places such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

1986–2008 — Journey of Worship Spaces

For many years, the church worshiped in the Guerrero family’s garage, which faithfully served as the congregation’s sanctuary for 18 years. Through the generosity and unity of the church family, the space gradually grew into a full worship center.

In 2004, the church relocated to the Eastgate Building in Mandaluyong City, and in 2008, the congregation moved to the PBJ Building along Shaw Boulevard, where services were held for more than a decade.

Each relocation followed a pattern of relocate, build, and expand, reflecting the church’s steady growth.

2018–Present — A New Sanctuary

In 2018, the church stepped out in faith and acquired land for a new sanctuary despite having a limited budget of less than ₱2 million. By God’s provision, the property was secured and construction began in 2020 during the pandemic.

Even amid restrictions, the church continued outreach efforts including community assistance and a six-week love pantry, demonstrating compassion and service during difficult times.

The new sanctuary stands as a prophetic declaration of God’s dwelling among His people, and it is envisioned as a place that will also serve smaller churches that do not yet have a venue for worship.

Today — Continuing the Mission

Today, Fullness of Christ International Ministries continues its mission of equipping believers and impacting communities through worship, discipleship, prayer, and outreach.

The church currently oversees 14 home churches across Metro Manila, while raising a new generation of leaders committed to proclaiming the Gospel and serving the purposes of God in their generation.

FOCIM looks forward to the future with the vision of raising a “Joshua generation”—young men and women who will preach the Word, lead worship, intercede for the nation, and carry the light of Christ to the city, the nation, and the world.
