FOCIM Celebrates 37 Years of God’s Faithfulness
“The one who calls you is faithful, and I will do it…” 1 Thessalonians 5:24
FOCIM celebrated 37 years of God’s faithfulness last September 24 at the Lampstand
located in 36 Mayon Street Barangay Malamig, Mandaluyong City. Sis. Cielo Elipse and Bro.
Luke Cuello were the hosts of FOCIM’s 37 th Anniversary. The FOCIM Worship team started the
celebration by opening the heavens with the spirit-filled songs “Great is thy Faithfulness”,
“Tribes”, and “Echo”. This was followed by an Audio-Visual Presentation of FOCIM members
who were blessed by the Lord’s faithfulness this past year. The first one was Sis. Gelli Arada,
who fought for her life when she was stricken with a severe case of COVID-19 along with other
complications. But through God’s faithfulness and healing power, she was able to recover and
even kept fulfilling her role as one of the vocals of the Worship team. Sis. Denise Cerveza, one
of the Church’s young leaders, also shared her testimony as one of the organizers of the
“Community Pantry” project during the pandemic. Through the said project, God’s faithfulness
was truly felt as the Church was able to help a lot of people in need within the city of
Mandaluyong by providing food and clothing even during the time of pandemic. Another AVP
testimony was done by Sis. Edralou Jabonillo, who strongly felt God’s faithfulness through the
healing of her father, who underwent dialysis and experienced the struggles of being a diabetic.
After the AVPs, it was the FOCIM Children’s Sunday School’s turn to demonstrate their love for
Jesus through a wonderful song and dance number.
The 37 th Anniversary guest speaker was Bishop Mario V. Medina – Overseer Pastor of
Jesus Glorious Global Ministries and Vision Keeper of Fire and Glory Prophetic Ministry. In his
message, Bishop Mario emphasized the importance of FOCIM leaders to be able to hear the
Lord. He also mentioned that as Church leaders, we must possess the mind of Christ by reading
the Word of God constantly. We should have the foresight and spiritual ear (John 5:30). Bishop
Mario also shared that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:23). He also
expounded on the benefits of walking in revelation. Furthermore, Bishop Mario explained how
to hear and see the voice of God through the scriptures Jeremiah 1:11-12 and Ephesians 1:17-
19.
After the main message, members of the FOCIM Ministry team presented the FOCIM
Eagle Plaque of Appreciation to Sis. Maria Demafelis for her unselfish service and singular
commitment to the ministry and the Body of Christ as Church Administrator then
Administrative Pastor of FOCIM. This was followed by a special prayer for the new Home
Church leaders and the presentation of certificates to the latest batch who passed the “Roots
Manual” examination.
After the awarding, another special number was done to honor God’s faithfulness. This time it
was done by a very talented servant of God – Bro. Allan Cabalquinto. Bro. Allan did a wonderful
rendition with the accompaniment of a violin of the song “Great is Thy Faithfulness”.
Before the ending the event, FOCIM Senior Pastor Rev. Diwa Guinigundo shared the
Vision for the Church in 2024. He further explained that ours is a marathon of faith. He then
proceeded to share the FOCIM tagline, who are we, and the Church’s Vision and Mission. Rev.
Diwa also expounded on what the Church has done so far:
Finished 70% of the Sanctuary

Given the Church’s accomplishments the past year, Rev. Diwa then proceeded to share what
the Church wants to achieve in 2024:
