Thriving in the Pandemic: FOCIM launches Gracepointe

COVID-19 may have disrupted daily life for good. Still, even with social distancing measures in place, human connection has accelerated at an unprecedent pace; the world is now more connected than ever. Online gatherings have become the norm and it’s easy to see why: people can now stay in touch from anywhere in the world, wherever they may be. Gone are the days of braving traffic jams and parking woes just to attend face-to-face meetings.

Faced with this reality, FOCIM’s Well Ministry saw an opportunity. FOCIM isn’t new to organizing events, from conceptualization, to promoting, and even hosting. It was therefore only natural that the Well Ministry would capitalize on this experience. Under the leadership of Bro. Bodge Santos, Gracepointe Events Organizing Services—or Gracepointe—was formed. The core team comprises a pool of creative volunteers from FOCIM, each with different backgrounds and talents.

Gracepointe’s mission is simple: to provide end-to-end virtual events organizing services that cater to each client’s budget and specific needs. By outsourcing the technical aspect of online meetings, this would allow the client to focus more on their work and values. Gracepointe is set apart from other similar businesses because most of its profits are channeled directly to the church to be used for kingdom building.

In November of 2021, through God’s grace, Gracepointe was awarded its first contract by the CKLVH Group of Companies. Gracepointe was tapped to bring the CKLVH community together leading up to its annual National Conference in mid-December. With this directive, Gracepointe organized “Laban Talks,” a 6-week webinar featuring prominent speakers to talk about different aspects of wellness.

Week 1 focused on physical wellbeing by TV personality Miriam Quiambao-Roberto. Weeks 2 and 3 tackled financial and career wellbeing and featured finance gurus Randell Tiongson and FOCIM’s own Bro. Bodge Santos. Week 4 was led by author Marvin Germo, who spoke about social wellbeing. Week 5 centered on spiritual wellbeing by FOCIM’s Senior Pastor, Ptr. Diwa Guinigundo. Lastly, Week 6 focused on impact wellbeing by Jayson Lo, a sought-after motivational speaker. Aside from the webinar itself, Gracepointe was also instrumental in recruiting Jungee Marcelo, an industry veteran, to compose official jingles for CKLVH’s National Conference.

Truly, thriving in the pandemic has been the story for FOCIM, and Gracepointe is no exception. With 2022 looking to be brighter than 2021, Gracepointe is eager to connect more people and expand the Kingdom, one event at a time.
